40lbs. Lighter! - Without Buying Any Weight Loss Program
by Monikke
(North Caarolina)
I dropped from 170 pounds to 130 pounds in 9 months without buying any weight loss program and without exercising.
I am 32yrs. old and I have four children. I have actually given birth to five children. My children are 17, 12, 11, and 8. My first child as born in 1991 when I was still a child myself (15).
During my pregnancy with my first child I weighted 105 pounds at the 34 1/2 week mark I weighed in at 218lbs. Then came my other children, two of them are a year and sixteen days apart and the last came 3 years later.
My last child was born on November 28,1999, she weighted in at 8.2 pounds. The beginning of 2008 I noticed that I was stuck at the weight of 170 pounds and just could not get any smaller.
I have had back and knee surgery and I also suffer from snapping hip syndrome. Exercise was near impossible for me! For those of you that use these excuses to why you can not lose weight, RUBBISH!
I decided that I wanted to lose weight and bought myself ALOT of water. I drank water in the morning, afternoon, dinner, the fourth meal (you know wat I'm talking abot)!
The first month I really didn't notice any difference, maybe even put on some water weight. All the sudden in the second month my pants weren't fitting anymore. I cut back on my breads, potates and grease intake. I stopped drinking tea and sodas (the withdrawl goes away).
Now in September 2008 I am 130 pounds and wear a size 5-7. Those of you that think you need to spend money to lose weight, NO YOU DONT! It really is a mind over matter thing.
EDITORS NOTE:
Congratulation Monikke! I'm always excited to see someone that gets it. You did the basic perfectly. You eliminated the unnecessary fat, sugars and got an igenous ways to reduce calorie intake while still dealing with hunger pangs (the water helps in creating satiety among other things).
Sugars and high glycemic index foods like English potatoes and white bread (processed foods) increase you blood glucose. This signals the body to turn this excess glucose into body fat hence weight gain. Your diet determines 80% of your weight loss.
And about weight loss exercises... there seems to be no conclusive evidence that exercises lose you weight. But they are proven to help one to keep the weight off. However they do help many people improve their metabolism and burn some fat.
And yeah, you donot need to buy anything if you are organized and motivated.
Monikkke, you are among a group of people that are immensely motivated. Not every one can maintain such excellent commitment. If you have hit your weight loss goal, find another life goal and use this same motivation and achieve it... buy a house , start a business you know... something you have wanted to do. Congrats once more.
