60 Lbs in 4 Months is too Much too Soon

by Jason

This is so unhealthy...I can't believe you are writing this article as if this way of dieting is healthy. 60 pounds in 4 months is too much too soon, and will have a negative effect on and add much stress to your heart.

The following paragraph is the only thing that is correct in this article:

"Like any diet should, calories deficit is necessary to achieve weight loss. However poor designs results to accompanying reduction in bulk leading to feeling of hunger. Use of smaller portions yet frequent meals is an effective strategy to achieve both calorie deficit and satiety."

Everything else contradicts that and should not in any way be a healthy endorsement to lose weight and body-fat. Also, keep in mind that most of society doesn't have the money, time, and resources that Janet Jackson has.

By doing this method of weight lose, Janet Jackson as well as any other who does it will put themselves in a precarious position. That is, this way of dieting cannot be long-term because it will put too much stress and damage on the heart, and therefore will not be able to stay on it long-term, and will cause the weight to shoot right back on, which is also bad for your heart. So you're putting your health in the risky position of "damn if you do damn if I don't."

Editors Note:
Hi Jason, you seem to be well informed on weight loss. It is true that most of the time too much weight loss in a short period can be dangerous e.g. to the heart. However there are exceptions.

For example, if the starting weight is very high, your body can healthily lose alot of fat pretty fast. And this is often when one combines effective resistance training with an equally effective diet.

Effective weight loss exercises can turn your body into a fat incinerator. This happens as the body is trying to optimize itself for activity. If one is eating right and exercising , the body will tend to let go of body fat with very little resistance.

Remember in activity, body fat become a "weight" to the body. And as long as the body "feels" it will not need energy reserves because you are feeding it well, it will let go of alot of fat in a short period of time...healthily.

Keep in mind the toning of body muscle not only preserves the heart tissue, but also assists the heart in blood circulation. Equally important is that if no "starvation techniques" are used, they will not regain. Ofcourse, unless one goes back to unhealthy eating.

This is actually the reason celebrity trainers use these methods to get results for their client fast. Unfortunatelly the celebs themselves donot retain the healthy lifestyle and so add weight with time.

But your point is valid because if one is primarily using diet as a means to lose 60 lbs in 12 wks, it is likely something is unhealthy.

As a further note, this website DOES NOT endorse any of the diets discussed within the site. In this case we are just making our visitors aware of the dynamics of the Janet Jackson Diet. But not recommending it in anyway.
