Lose 40 Lbs In 12 Wks. . .?

Hi,

Chad Tackett says he has already done it for hundreds; like John Liska who lost 70 lbs. He further claims he can do it for you too.

He even gives you a challenge - if you can get  anything... anything at all that is better than his weight loss program he will reward you with $100. Is this Chad guy for real? My name is Mark, lets find out...

Review of Global Health Fitness (GHF) Weight Loss

The Global Health Fitness (GHF) Weight Loss program claims it will help you lose as much as 40 lbs in 12 weeks or less. I have even seen a testimonial on their site of a John J. Liska from Canada who is over 60 years old and says that he lost 70 lbs in 7 months. Keeping in mind his age and a naturally slowing metabolism, these results are amazing - if true.

Chad Tackett: Founder and CEO of GHF Weight Loss
C. Tackett
Global Health Weight loss is a ten year old weight loss membership program developed and headed by Chad Tackett, a career fitness trainer. Unlike many diets it’s designed around customization and individualization.

Even more interesting is that it is served via the internet making it available worldwide. The program has received some glowing reviews from a number of well known health and fitness publications.

However my style of reviewing is slightly different. It is based on a position statement I researched and compiled some time back. The position statement titled Top 4 Reasons for Weight Loss Failure (opens in 2nd window) is based on a wide array of reputable sources of health information and over 100 research papers.

But I have made it even simpler for you to make an informed decision. I designed the review around what you as a person that wants to lose weight, ideally would want from a weight loss program.

What We All Look For In A Weight Loss Program

Based on an educated estimation, I have been able to narrow down the needs of most people that want to lose weight into five. These are:

1.  Amount: How much weight can you possibly lose with the diet? The more the better

2.  Speed: How fast can you lose, for example 20 lbs, with the program? The faster the better

3.  Ease: How easy is it to keep up with and follow through with the diet? The easier the better.

4.  Health: Does the diet break any universally agreed on health practices?  Are you safe using the program?

5.  Sustainability: What are the chances you will keep your weight loss without regaining.

The first three; amount  of weight lost, speed of lose and ease of losing are really the majorities favorite. However since I believe in losing weight healthly and permanetly I also included health and susutainability. We donot want you to be sickly losing weight or lose weight this year then be right back at it next year.

Ratings Of GHF Based On What We All Look For In A Weight Loss Program

My ratings take a program and score them in a scale of zero (0) to five (5) against this universal requirements for a diet program. A rating of 0 out of 5 means the diet is useless. A score of 2.5 out of 5 means you have a 50% chance of losing weight with that diet. A score of 5 out of 5 means you have a 100% assurance you will lose weight and keep it off with that diet program. Below is how GHF fared.

Rating for Amount of Total Weight Lost:

When you use a diet program you want to achieve your goal; so you want a program that can lose you all the weight you want gone - whether it's 20 pounds or 200 pounds.

When looking at the ability of a program to lose your pounds, I do not take into account body composition. This will be accounted for in the Health Ranking. In this quantity ranking anything goes. And I know very well that many diets that result to huge amounts of weight loss tend to lose a lot of water as well as muscle tissue. But as I said in this ranking this is not a concern.

At first glance, I thought that GHF would score averagely in this rating. But an in-depth understanding of the design of the program indicates you can lose as much as 5 lbs every week for an extended period of time (more than 6 weeks).

The idea of coupling a customized diet and an equally customized exercise program will squeeze your calorie balance from two ends. First it will reduce calorie intake using the diet. Then it will increase calorie expenditure through exercises. In total this strategy will provide a huge calorie deficit that allows you to lose a lot of weight by the end of your dieting period.

Unlike diet only programs like Atkins, which start with high weekly loses then quickly taper of, GHF can hold 3 - 4 pound loses for weeks.

But there is more, the fact that GHF diet and exercise are "custom made", nearly always assures they will be effective. This means that since a personal trainer is checking on your progress constantly, they will keep tweaking your diet and exercise to get optimal results.

Score:  4/5

However as much as I'm tempted to give a 5/5 rating on the amount of weight you can lose on GHF, I give 4/5. Though few, there are special diets and diet programs out there that can achieve significantly more weight loss.

One that comes to mind is the little known Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD) that is usually administered by medical doctors on life threatening obesity. However GHF does not put you at risks as the VLCD does. If you have tens of pounds to lose, GHF will most likely help you.  Give GHF a try for just one dollar.

Rating for Speed:

If you are like most of us, you want to lose weight yesterday and fit in those jeans today for that party this evening. So when selecting a weight loss program you want one that will get you fast results. With this in mind a diet that shrinks you in 24 hours gets a 5/5 rating from me.

Not un-usually, the same reasons that make GHF able to lead to huge amount of weight loss, are the same that make it achieve great speed. The claim by Chad Tackett that he can lose you 40 pounds in 12 weeks is anything but empty.

The key here again is the tweaking - if your trainer after taking your profile and goal designs a program for you to achieve your goal in 12 weeks, they expect a particular weight loss weekly. When this is not being achieved they tweak your diet and exercise to make sure you hit your target in time.

I need to mention that, if there is one thing that really sets GHF weight loss apart, it is its customization and individualization. Nothing beats a program that is designed around your specific needs, abilities and desires. Learn more about losing 40 lbs in 12 wks using the customized GHF weight loss plan for just one dollar.

But yet again the medically administered VCLD will nearly always beat GHF in how fast one can lose 10 or 20 pounds. In fact, VCLD's can lose weight so fast that you always need a doctor on standby. This is because you can easily run into complications like dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, gall stones and in some severe cases shock or even heart attack.

Even some extreme fad diets like Cabbage Soup Diet that is literally a starvation diet, will achieve faster weight loss. But they can only achieve this speed for a short time before your body responds with slowing down its metabolism. This is because the body interprets the severe lack of calories as starvation and therefore slows down how much energy it is using. It is not that I'm advocating for such diets, it’s that on this aspect of speed we are rating GHF against the best.

Score:  4/5

So despite its imminent high speed in losing weight, I rate GHF 4/5. Keeping in mind the overall quality of the program, this is not shabby at all. And because your calorie deficit is being created by both exercises and diets this relatively fast speed can be maintained for an extended periods of time before it ever even slows significantly.

This is because unlike diet only programs, the body this time is willing to release excess fat. This happens because of exercising. Weight loss exercises will tend to involve movement of your body. Since body fat in a sense is inactive tissue in these movements, it provided the body excess weight to move around.  The body now interprets this excess body fat as unnecessary weight and since there are sufficient calories, it does not try to hang on to the fat.

This is why unlike diet only programs weight loss with GHF does not slow down. Evidently specially designed exercises are pivotal in GHF’s success.

Rating for Health:

The rating for the amount of weight lost does not take into account body composition. So a diet that loses mostly water and muscle tissue rather than body fat will rate better than a program that results to mainly fat loss as long as the former diet loses more total weight.

Similarly for speed, I don't take into consideration if the tactic used to achieve that speed puts you in grave danger or not. What matters is how fast you can ditch 10 lbs or 20 lbs of weight using that diet or diet program. The one that does it faster wins. This allows each rating to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges. The better fruit is decided at the end by the total ranking that sums up all the ranking.

I use the health rating to counter the negatives of huge weight loss and speedy weight loss. So that the total ranking will finally take into consideration the risks you put yourself in by losing weight too fast and losing mainly water and muscle tissue both of which will eventually result to regain.

To tell you the truth, my findings are that when most people are looking for a weight loss program, few ever consider health implications with the seriousness it deserves. Obviously I'm not about to take that route myself. I believe that you can achieve weight loss healthily without straining your kidneys with excess proteins, damaging your metabolism with extreme calorie deficit or even dealing with gall stones.

Being better informed on weight loss, I prefer a program that has a lower ranking in both quantity and speed but highest ranking in health.

So my health rating of a program checks on how safe the program is to you. Does it contradict any universally acceptable health practices?

Score:  5/5

In this rating I give GHF 5/5 - a clean bill of health. Nothing to my knowledge and understanding is suspicious particularly in the design of the diets. I find that usually when you include an exercising regiment in a diet program; it gets harder to introduce fad-like strategies.

This is because the diet will not only need to provide sufficient nutrients for health but also energy to service the workout in the exercising routine. This then forces the diet to go with a healthy eating plan, otherwise anything less will make you the dieter fatigued, lethargic and un-energized to do any physicals.

But I need to mention I have not found a 5/5 rating for health completely un-common. Some diet programs like the one offered by "Curves" as well as "Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle" by Tom Venuto both achieved this rating.

Notably they all have exercising as a major part of their program. But based on the final tallying of the total score, GHF stands head and shoulder above them.  Infact find an eating plan that you can use for life and that will help you lose 40 lbs fast in a healthy way in this. Rating for Ease:

When choosing a weight loss program you also want one you can keep up with. If you have to learn some special calculus mathematics for counting calories so that you can do the diet, it will get a 0/5 rating from me. And the truth is that there are some diets with difficult acceptable and unacceptable list of food. Some have up to the decimal point calculation of carbohydrates or calories that they increase the difficulty of using them for most people.

Because there is always need to calculate calories in some way, let it be done by someone else or make it dead simple for the dieter. The easier they make the diet the better the rating I give it.

I should also note that ease should apply to everything in the diet or diet program. This includes exercises. For example, if like "Curves", the program demands you register with a gym - that automatically raises the level of difficulty. In fact, I have noted that just by simply including exercises in a program, it increases the perceived level of difficulty by most people. Due to habit most find it hard to start exercising.

Remember that my ratings are based on what you would ideally want from a diet program which would include sitting down and doing nothing yet losing weight by the minute.

Chad Tackett has put great effort in trying to reduce the difficulty involved with exercising for weight loss. For example, you have access to nearly 200 videos on how to perform different routines. But my best is that they custom-make a routine for you based on what you have and what you can do. This means, you can get exercises to lose weight in a gym that you are already a member of. They can also design one for you in which you only need to invest in affordable resistance bands or even simply using your body weight only.

This flexibility allows you to be able to start exercising right now. This significantly reduces difficulty even though it does not eliminate it.

This customization and individualization extends to diet and diet recipes which are available in the hundreds.

An easy program to follow allows you to keep you doing it.  And if you keep doing it, then it’s just a matter of time before you see results you want.

Score:  3/5

For ease I give GHF 3.5/5.  The truth is that you can make exercise just so much easier.  If no exercise were included probably a 4/5 would have been in order.

But I do need to note that 3.5/5 rating for a multi-dimensional diet program like GHF is very high. One dimensional programs i.e. programs that focus on only things like diets or hypnosis tend to easily achieve a 4/5 ratings.  This is because they concentrate on only doing one thing, making it much easier to do.

But for multi dimensions program like GHF that approaches weight loss from several aspects e.g. diet, exercise and behavioral changes and also includes tools, it become more difficult as you demands more participation from the dieter.

I have given GHF high rating here because I see they understand that exercising particularly is a repellant for most people.  And they have put much thought in trying to make it as painless as possible, by allowing customization and flexibility, otherwise I would have given them 2/5.

They do not get a 4/5 because of a myriad of tools that the dieter will need to keep referring to and using. Particularly is the blog that helps your trainer better track your progress. These tools though vital to the success of GHF do increase difficulty to you as a dieter. In a maner of speaking, this can be said to be the weakest point of GHF. But as a rejoinder they are the same tools that nearly always assure you that you will lose 40 lbs in 12 weeks or less. Get to discover more about the GHF $1.oo trial here.

Rating for Sustainability:

You definitely do not want to lose 40 lbs in 12 wks and the start regaining it one year from now.  This rating for sustainability quantifies the chances that you will keep the weight loss you achieved with a weight loss program. For you to avoid weight regain, the program you used must induce in you a level of lifestyle change.

For example the idea of a low fat diet is a lifestyle where you reduce consumption of fat and fat related products- for life. By the way the  low fat diets recommendation of yesteryears are among the worst mistakes done by the health community, and in NO way or form  do I recommend them.

So if the program is not well designed to make sure that you develop the habits that make you keep your weight loss, my rating for it will fall.  Obviously, it is hard for diets to rate highly for sustainability, simply because change of behavior can be very difficult.

With GHF you will ONLY maintain your weight loss if you change your diet to the health eating they show you and keep some level of physical activity in your life.  And if it were not for the effort particularly designed for this to happen I would have rated them mediocre.

Score:  3/5

However I uncovered a subtle but detailed design for behavioral change.  It includes a number of downloadable books and video seminars designed for information and motivation.  I’m very aware of the role accurate information and effective motivation plays in changing habit.

Not to mention that GHF has motivational experts on standby for consultation. They include Victoria Johnson, CPT (a celebrity motivational fitness expert) and Frank B. Smoot, MA, DD (success coach).  But the fact that you can stay with the program for life makes me rate GHF at 3/5.

If I were to depend only on the books, motivational videos and experts only I probably would have at best rated 2.5/5; which by itself is good as I rarely score many diets 2/5 in this rating.

You need to understand that the reason the world is facing an imminent obesity problem is not because diets out there do not result into weight loss.  On the contrary, the reason some diets become popular is because they result to weight loss in a huge way.  But the problem is that few of them are able to lock-in that success.  And so most people lose weight but gain it all back over time.

So a strict rating on sustainability is in order. The 3/5 score in this rating is really exemplary. This means you have relatively high chances of actually losing 40 lbs in 12 weeks and keep it off for good.

Total Rating for GHF:

Score:  3.9/5

GHF weight loss program has a total score of 3.9 out of 5 which is the best rating I have given a weight loss diet or program.  Keeping in mind that a 5/5 rating would be diet that safely loses you 40 lbs in one weeks while you sit down and do nothing this a pretty good. You will just have to go with GHF's membership and settle for 40 lbs in 12 weeks.

Previously the best weight loss diet I had ever rated was Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle which has a total rating of 3.2/5.  And I did not think it was likely to create a program that could beat a 3.5/5 score realistically.  However there are same outstanding features that make GHF rating this high.

The Outstanding Feature of GHF

These features in no particular order include

1.     It’s designed to lose body fat.

If you have tried to lose weight before you will know that most diet's especially those that only emphasize on an eating plan will tend to lose you muscle tissue.  Some really bad ones also lose you a lot of water.

Muscle tissue loss reduces your metabolism, while water lose guarantees regain. Specifically targeting fat loss allows you eat without too much restriction because a lot of calories are used up in specially designed exercises. This is why GHF allows you to eat a lot of foods many diets would be horrified at.

2.     Customization and Individualization

I personally believe that nothing beats a customized weight loss program.  Your body type, metabolism, like, dislike, generic pre-disposition etc. are different from any one else’s.

So what works so well for someone will not necessarily work for you. This is a huge advantage for anyone using GHF. (Try the customized GHF weight loss plan for just a dollar to start your weight loss success story now)

3.     Motivation and Accountability

The fact that GHF has a section in the program dedicated for accountability and motivation deserves acknowledgment.

The blog (online diary) that help you personal trainer follow up with you forces you to be accountable to the routines and diets that you need to follow.  The  motivational experts as well as motivational video materials set this program apart from many others.

Many good diets fail because they give you good tool but leave you to your own devices as far as keeping you doing what you need to do.  As long as a program can help you to keep doing what you need to do to lose weight you will achieve the results you want.

4.     Team of expert

You will probably not believe this until you see it for yourself, but GHF puts at your disposal 38 experts - specialist in different field of health and fitness.  They include Sean O’Malley (CPT, CFI) a cardio exercise expert, Mark Kling (MD, CSCS) a medical expert, Gay Riley (MS, RD, LD) a medical nutrition expert and even Tom Venuto (BS, CSCS) fat loss expert.

Tom developed the program Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle weight loss which had been my highest rating (3.2/5) before I come across GHF.  The fact that he works with Chad Tackett tells you something about the quality of the GHF program. See all the experts available to you here.

5.     Inclusion of Exercises

This may look like a minor thing to most people, but I have noticed that many weight loss programs avoid exercises to attract more takers.

Most people that want to lose weight find weight loss exercises hard to start. This is mainly due to poor strategies of introducing them into an active life.  But the truth is our bodies are designed to more and not just sit around all day long.

I really think a weight loss program that avoids weight lost exercise so as to appease ill-informed dieters is cutting corners - just my thoughts though.

6.     Sexier body

Many diets also attract takers by using picture of beautifully contoured female and well sculptured male bodies.  But how many of these diets can claim that those bodies were achieved by their diet?  Well GHF can.

Infact one of GHF's models is Julia Iannuzzo; one of the personal trainer available to you. She began first as a GHF member. She went on to lose 40 lbs in 12 weeks and even trained to be a certified trainer.

The truth is few diet program are designed to sculpt a beautiful body - toned muscle, firm arms and thighs, lifted bottom and breasts, a six pack and sculpted chest. GHF can, and they even give you a guarantee.

So Will GHF Lose You 40 lbs in 12 Weeks?

From my review of this program it is very likely that you will lose 40 lbs in 12 weeks or less.  If you have many more pounds to lose you may need to increase the time.  But to be true to reality there could be some individual that can fail even within such an excellent weight loss program.

But This Is What Would Make You Fail With GHF

As much as I would like to say that GHF will guarantee your weight loss, I very well know that is not true.  There is no a 100% effective diet for everyone.  So GHF will work wonders for most people, but these are those it might not help much.

One…

Such people include persons with severe metabolic problems.  Since GHF is not a medical facility it will not be able to address this issue well if it surpasses some point.  Due to yo-yo dieting and extreme calorie deficient diets, many people mess their metabolism.  Though much of it can be corrected by habituating proper eating, for some people medical intervention is necessary.  This obviously is not the expertise of GHF.

…Two…

Others that can fail are persons with impaired mobility particular those of morbid obesity.  This will also include some advanced level of disability.  Since GHF highly depends on weight loss exercises to achieve dramatic success, such impairment will definitely interfere with its ability to achieve results.

…And Three

A third category of persons would be individual with VERY resistant attitude.  Weight loss like any other major endeavor has first to be won in the mind.  If one has serious self esteem issue or image problem or are simply overly pessimistic, I would first advice some sort of therapy before trying any kind of weight loss.

If you do not fall in any of these three categories and you have access to the internet then GHF will most likely be of great help. Get started with GHF one dollar trial and discover how you lose 40 lbs in 12 wks. The fact that GHF has a high rating on my scale means it will benefit 80% of the people trying to diet out there.

In the position paper that I wrote based on tens of research papers and credible weight loss sources, I came to a conclusion that many experts have come to; that there is no "one-fits-all" diet.

The Truth Is That There Is No "One-Fits-All"
Weight Loss  Program

So many factors go into successfully losing weight that it is impossible for any one diet to get it right for all people.  You physiological state, psychological state are different from mine, so are your likes and dislikes, your body type and genetic predisposition.  All these affect how you can lose weight.

GHF is among the few weight loss programs that can be able to account for all this factors for each individual.  It is able to address your issues individually and customize the program to suit your needs, abilities, desires to achieve the body you want.  This is the over-riding reason that I strongly recommend that you order GHF weight loss membership now.

But it gets even better. . .
