Infact this Site Build It review is based on my experience with this SBI. To me it is not just a website, but a web-business that makes me money every month.

In this review if you allow me, I will show you the inner workings of SBI so you can determine for yourself if SBI will help you turn your website idea into a web business. It is long and detailed so indulge me.

Who and What Is Site Build It Web

Below I will walk you through all the aspects of SBI hosting so that you can be able to tell if SBI is a tool that will be useful to your web-business. But before I can move on to this, I need to explain the basis that make a successful website.

The Features That Make SBI Work

Site Build It webhosting provides a myriad of tools. Even having had an SBI website for three years now, these are some tools I have yet to use. And for the ones I’m already using, not all of them are utilized to their full potential. But as you will come to realize for yourself, with SBI you don’t need to use all the tools to build a website that works.

The truth is that SBI truly over-delivers most of the time. In fact I will not discuss all the tools here, they are too many. I will mostly touch on the ones that have impressed me the most.

I will divide the tools into groups - the Preparation tools, Building and Hosting tools, Traffic building tools and Other tools.

If you are building a website that will make you money, then you are building a web-business. And like any other business, your website will need preparation. SBI provides you with tools that help you in mapping out your online journey that includes even suggestions for an effective domain name.

The main tool for preparing your website structure and theme is SBI’s "Brainstorm It". This was the first integrated keyword tool developed by a hosting service for its clients. Brainstorm It is a keyword research tool that helps you to identify the keywords or terms that your customers are typing into search engines to find what your website will be offering.

For example, this website is primarily a weight loss site. I do not need any person who is looking for a "diabetic’s glucometer" to find my site. This is because I don’t sell diabetic's glucometers, I sell weight loss solutions.

So in the Brainstorm It tool just by entering the words "weight loss", it will go into the internet and bring back all the words that people interested in weight loss products and solutions use to do their search. It will also rank the words and phrases based on popularity and relevance. This makes it a breeze to choose keywords that are relevant to my offer and use these words as basis for creating content.

I can comfortably tell you, if you do not have a good keyword research tool to help you get, rate and rank thematically related keywords, you will not make any substantial amount of money online.

As you have so far learnt, the internet is all about information, information, information. And people use keywords to locate the information they want. Get your keywords wrong and you get the wrong target audience which of course means little or no money for you.

With SBI, you do not need to know the technicalities that I have just explained to you. All you need to do is to put in a couple of words you think your customer would use to search for what your website will be offering and wham… you get thousands of similar and related term from which you can choose to design your site based on relevance.

By the way, just in case i'm starting to sound complicated do not panic, Site Build It comes with an Action Guide that takes you by the hand step by step through all these painlessly. You have both a text format and a video format of the SBI action guide.

I do need to mention here that when I started with SBI in 2004, I practically knew nothing about making money online. In fact, back then SBI Action Guide was only in PDF format. They changed to web text and video because changes online happen so fast and so often that the PDF version became literally outdated every 3 to 6 months. The web text and video formats are much easier to update so we all can stay ahead of the pack.

There are a couple of more preparation tools, but I find Brainstorm It as the most fundamental.

There are more than 10 tools in this category, but I will pick my favorite to discuss here. The first is the "Block by Block Builder". If you green about building website you will so appreciate this feature. Most people that want to start a website have no idea of even what HTML stands for. This is the code language used to create web pages. But with the Block by Block builder all you need to know is how to type, copy and paste and to point and click.

Using this tool you can write content for your site, upload pictures and images, PDF’s; you can even center or align your content to the, left or right e.t.c. Basically using the block builder you can design your page nearly anyway you want.

However, I personally have not been using Block by Block builder. I learnt a little bit about HTML and I now design my pages using a force site builder tool called NVU. This allows me to work offline to create my page. It saves me in the cost of internet connection.

I need to note that after 3 years of building my website I still do not know how to FTP. This is because SBI makes it very easy and simple to upload my HTML formatted pages.

In this building and hosting category of tools, the most revolutionary tool in my opinion is what is called "Infinite It". Site Build It was the first all-in-one site builder, site hosting and site marketing system on the internet. So obviously SBI was using and is still using proprietary technology that only SBI owns. By then the technology was far ahead in it’s time. It is this technology that still keeps SBI as the top website builder on the internet.

Unfortunately, as the internet developed SBI was becoming incompatible with new widgets that were becoming popular in the internet. For example Forum Software became popular, Article Directories too and lately it’s Blogging Software.

Previously if I wanted to integrate these widgets/functions onto my SBI website it was an uphill task that would be too complicated for my unsophisticated technical skills. SBI’s Infinite It is the tool that solves all this in few simple steps. Today, I can add anything to a website I fancy. And it will successfully integrate into my SBI website.

For example, I have been thinking of adding a WordPress blog into my website once I hit my traffic goals. Integrating the blog into my website will quickly make the blog very popular as it benefits from an already credible website.

I also have been flirting with providing a Link Directory for weight loss and obesity related professionals on my site. With Infinite It, this is now possible to use a link directory script in a few steps.

With Infinite It, you can add blogs, forums, Content Management Systems (CMS), Database Software, Data Feeds etc. and still benefit from the CTPM process of SBI.

I have to confess that as I matured in internet business and this website started to do better, I started feeling as if SBI was limiting me. Enter “Infinite It” and possibilities have literally become infinite. I cannot say enough of this tool.

These are also about 10 (ten) tools within SBI that help you easily build traffic or targets visitors to your site. My favorite of them all is also probably the most innovative tool by SBL.

Imagine having volunteers making for you your website, writing content and click a button to publish the page or click another button to delete the contribution. This tool is also a first in the internet. The tool is called “Content 2.0”. It is modeled around concepts like my space and face book but with a twist that makes it profitable to your website.

Let me give you an example, in my website I have been testing the power of content 2.0. In this page (opens in 2^nd window) you will see how I invite people to contribute to my site. At the bottom you can see a link of a page contributed by one of my webvisitors. See they even have uploaded their own plots.

There are other powerful traffic building tools like the “Automatic Pinging”. Pinging is a behind the scene function of SBI websites. It informs the search Engines every time you update your site so that the SE can come visiting your site to document the changes and refresh their records of your site (indexing)

The advantage is the more pages are indeed by SE the more traffic you are likely to get to your website without pining, you may add a page to your website and the SE will take weeks to know about it reducing visitors coming to your site. Pinging is such an important part of website marketing that sites that do not ping are simply left in the dust.

Unfortunately most web hosting solutions do not provide pinging and you will need to buy your own scripts to plug-in to your accounts and if you are not technically endowed it wil be rocket science. With SBI it comes with the package, you do not even need to know its there, its just pings automatically even time you update your website.

Another interesting tool is called “Blog It”. This tool creates a blog automatically out of a normal static website. And you have to really do nothing at all apart from activating your blog page. See my weight loss blog here. Everytime build a webpage Blog It automatically strips the title and some content and posts it into the blog page as a post. It makes it look like I am blogging but I am just happily building my static website.

This page allows anyone following my website to get the newest or latest updates on my site. This tool helps my site to attract more visitors to my site it is unbelievable that it’s automated. Blog It saves me from the hassle of going into full blogging while still benefiting from the advantages of full-blogging. Full bogging is time consuming and not as profitable as compared to an SBI static website.

Site Build It categorizes some more tools as Site Building tools, Monetization (money making ) tools and Guidance and Support tools. I’m going to discuss my favorite among them.

First is the “Form Build It”. This is a tool that allows you to put up a form that your visitors can use to interact with your website. Let me give you an example in this weight loss site; I have primarily used Form Build It as a means to contact me. See an example here. Instead of giving my web visitors on email, they can fill that form as such that I can even send the content filled into the form into different email just like the carbon copy (cc.) function of an email. And the form notification email come plus the IP address of the sender so I can tell when the same person contacts me often.

There are tens of ways you can use Form Build It apart form how im using it on my contact page. These was I time I was using it to give a free e-book, capture emails and send out an auto-responder that comes with the Form Build It functionality.

I need to mention that advanced auto-responders will cost you at least ten dollars a month. The Form Build It auto-responder will serve most of your needs at no extra cost.

Another powerful tool that I will confess I have not exploited in this website is the “Newsletter Publishing Tool”. It comes fully loaded with its own form separate from Form Build It. It also has its own email management center and update center. Using this tool to send regular newsletters to your subscribers is as simple as uploading and clicking.

Another great tool in my opinion includes “Link Fix It”. This tool checks your site for broken links every time you update the site. It then sends you an email to tell you which exact page have broken links.

In the guidance and support section, the tools available are literally indispensable in the success of SBI. First and foremost is the almighty “SBI Action Guide”. Now I will need to warn you about this one. If you are arrogant as I was when starting with SBI and you do not reference with the Action Guide consistently you will take much much longer to build a website that will make you money.

When I started with Site Build It, I was so gang-ho about what I wanted that I barely consulted this action guide. The result was that I lost months wandering to and fro the internet as I looked for a working formula for my site. I still kick myself for not starting off with the Action Guide immediately.

The SBI Action Guide entails the step by step process of using SBI to set up a moneymaking website from scratch. My advice to you is this; when you choose to get your own SBI package, spend the first week reading and re-reading this Action Guide. It will speed your time to profit greatly.

Thankfully SBI Action Guide is now both in text and video format; so there is no reason not to be informed. I can nearly guarantee you this; you will fail with SBI if you are new and do not follow this action Guide. If you are veteran, I can also nearly guarantee you, you will find means to speed your success ten fold in this Action Guide.

Another major tool for guiding support is the “SBI private forum”. I personally got a working formula for this affiliate site from this forum. I had been struggling with something up a proper affiliate model for my site for months. However after searching the forum for a day, I found a thread that solved my problems right away.

I am even embarrassed to say that there was a thread that was nearly a year old that could have solved my problem. If only I had checked the forum a year ago, this means I was losing money for a whole year because I was not using a tool that was right there for me to use.

Nowadays I often check with the forum to learn from an array of experiences of other SBIers.

Another source of solid help is the “Tips and Technique Section”. This section of SBI document exact and proven strategies for different business models and websites in general. It also include dozens of ways to make money with your site and the exact steps of setting them up.

Site Build It Myths Debunked

Inspite all the power packed behind SBI, these are some myths and rumors you may have come across on the internet about SBI. They are probably from people that never used SBI. I really do not know what would make them think that way about SBI but I just renewed my SBI account for the third year running. And the way I see it there is no good reason why I will not be renewing my SBI account next year, and the year after, and the year after. Why? Because I worked SBI (ofcourse after some stupid mistakes) and SBI has worked for me.

I sincerely believe that if you use the tools, infact just some of the tools that SBI puts at your disposal, you will build a website that makes your money every month.

All the same, allow me to demystify some myths you probably have heard about SBI.

The SBI block-by-block SiteBuilder is, of course, for beginners. It literally does train a "newbie," block-by-block, to build an effective Web page. It makes it easy to build pages that both visitors and Search Engines love without having to know HTML.

Once a newbie is ready for more, SBI lets them "take the training wheels off" and upload their own HTML. They can use Dreamweaver, Frontpage or any HTML editor they choose. They can even use the latest techniques like full CSS design. As I mentioned earlier I personally use NVU.

When you realize the advantages of the "all-tools-in-one-place" approach, they see how SBI will save them time and money. Tools like Brainstorm It, Content 2.0, Worldsubmitter, ValueExchange, SBI Site Stats, etc., are equal or better than the outside available tools. And buying all those outside tools would cost hundreds more per year than SBI does.

Domains are totally under the control of the site owner (check my Whois.com to see my name). At the end of the subscription you are free to transfer the domain they own to another host at no charge if you choose.

Site content is simple HTML that can easily be captured and moved to another host or brought into an editor. There is no more disadvantage to SBI hosting than anyone would have moving a site from any other host. The owner always controls his domain and his content

This is where owning your own SBI site is a great advantage. Anyone who has owned a site would never complain that it's too expensive. Actually most would say they never were able to "use it all" in one year."

Too expensive compared to what? If it was possible to really compare apples to apples instead of apples to lemons, there would be no question about the value. Once you see what you get, SBI would be considered a deal at 10 times the price."

For example Brainstorm It tool uses Wordtracker as its base and then seamlessly adds even more functionality. Wordtracker costs $329 per year which is more than the full SBI package. Yet Brainstorm It is one of dozens of tools included in SBI.

The "basic" simple-to-use, templates provided by SBI use styling recommended by site-design experts (Dr. Jakob Neilsen of useit.com) who stress simplicity and a left-hand navbar. These simple designs don't keep someone from achieving top search engine and 1% Alexa rankings and ultimately success.

But even more importantly, once someone is ready (or if they already have the skills) they are free to use Dreamweaver and Photoshop, CSS or any other design method or tools they choose."

Whatever Look and Feel you desire, you CAN do it in SBI. Just crank up Photoshop and your HTML editor and do it.
