Adipex weight loss is weight loss
drug also referred to as Phentermine.
It has several generic. A generic is a drug similar to the original
brand name, but is only available after the patent rights of the
original drug have expired.
Generics of Adipex include Obenix, Oby-Trim, Phentercoat, Phentride and
Pro-Fast.
Manufactures:
Adipex weight loss is manufactured by Gate Pharmaceuticals a division
of Tera Pharmaceuticals. U.S.A
Preparation and Dosage of Adipex Weight Loss:
Adipex is available in a capsule or tablet containing 37.5mg of
Phentermine Hydrochloride. This is the equivalent of 30mg of
phentermine. It is administered orally.
Adipex weight loss is prescribed for use with a weight loss program
that includes a weight loss diet
of reduced calories, and preferably weight loss
exercises and behavioral modification. The patient needs to
have an initial BMI of 30 or more. Adipex can still be prescribed for
overweight individuals with a BMI of 27 with other obesity related
diseases like hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia.
The weight loss pill is indicated for use for a few weeks. It is also
recommended as a men therapy meaning you should not combine it with any
other appetite suppressant.
Mechanism of Action:
As a phentermine drug, Adipex weight loss is an appetite suppressant.
It stimulates the central nervous system to increase the feeling of
satiety and inhibit hunger.
Side effect:
Though the human body tolerates phentermines like Adipex well, it is
still like many other drugs, it still has side effects. Remember it
induces a light "fight or flee" state in your body and hence side
effects include typical "fight or flee" conditions. They include
increases heart rate, increased alertness, insomnia or lack of sleep,
restlessness, increased blood pressure trembling or shaking, nausea,
vomiting, dizziness, and constipation among others.
Less common side effects are chest pains, lower tolerance to exercises
or reduced ability to exercise, swelling of feet or lower legs and
trouble breathing. This side effect can easily be symptoms to more
serious problems. If you exhibit them you need to see your doctor
urgently.
Caution:
Adipex weight loss like all the other weight loss pills
should
only be taken under prescription and medical supervision. Many things
can go wrong when using drugs. This is particularly so if you have
health conditions or taking other kinds of drugs like ant-depressant
and vitamins or herbs.
