    One way or another more than likely we have all experienced an urge to lose weight, and lose it as quickly as possible. Currently the diet industry is roughly a forty billion dollar market, and growing. This is only made possible by the consumer.

    Across the nation, people are attempting to find the fastest weight loss possible. There are so many fast weight loss diets to choose from. The question is, do they work? There are several things from colon cleansers to teas and weight loss pills and of course, diet plans….the only tough part is finding the one that would be ideal for a particular body type – not every diet will work for everyone.

    For example the HCG Diet, managed by sundridgemedical.com, states that one could lose up to thirty pounds in thirty days. The ACAI Berry is a juice that also guarantees rapid weight loss. They even offer a free trial.

    Of course, there many others: green tea diets, banana diets, those that focus on the abs and even chocolate diets. Yes, there is a diet that focuses on chocolate! There are other areas of focus as well: water weight, muscle tissue and body fat. And there are ways to focus on one and not the other.

    Most fast weight loss is water

    Approximately twenty-five percent of the fast weight loss is usually water weight. That is why it is common to regain the weight lost right back. As soon as the body reaches the ideal size and shape, many people may find themselves indulging in something that was forbidden during the diet. This is a major cause for regain. Water is particularly easily regained when previous eating habits are resumed.

    While water loss may result to the quick weight loss,  it is likely that those skinny jeans may not fit for long. However, if the number being viewed on the scale is really the fact that scared the idea of losing weight into the mind, losing muscle will definitely fix this issue.

    Muscle weighs more than fat, so a fit person could very well weigh less than someone a size or two larger. Muscle density is approximately eighteen percent higher than fat density, and will naturally weigh more – about three times more give or take a pound or two.     People tend to think that quick weight loss means starving or horrible foods. The problem with this system is that the body will go into shock. While the pounds may shed (the body is losing muscle tissue), fat cell growth is enlarged. It is imperative to understand that the fat cells store energy. This is where the metabolism is derived. Fat is really what is seen in the mirror. The flab in the upper arm perhaps…maybe the tummy is not quite as thin as it used to be….and the thighs.

    A suggested way to lose fat is to cut out the idea of a “dieting” as most people know it. Many times people set unrealistic goals that can lead to cheating, then disappointment etc.

    One better way is to measure current calorie intake.  Many diets will suggest a certain calorie intake. This number of calories that were suggested may not work very well. Calculating the number of calories currently taken each day and subtracting five hundred each week will shed fat.

    Although the process may seem slow, each week the diet is modified and loses five hundred calories per day. And if you add exercises and adjust the diet to provide energy, the desired shape is not too far.

    The fastest weight loss possible for the average person is easily obtained through diet pill based weight loss plans. Most of these lead to water loss though. The probability of gaining the weight back is pretty high, but if the only purpose of losing the weight is to look good for wedding or reunion, then it may be the solution.

    The safest way is to take things in moderation. Too much of a “good” thing cannot be healthy (too much of anything: water, dairy products, beef etc). Understanding that weight loss is really modifying the current lifestyle is the best way to go. For example if the current calorie intake is three thousand calories per day.

    Ideally, one should consider a small calorie segment per day decrease each week. A five hundred calorie decrease is suggested, but the goal should be made achievable. Small exercise increments could be increased as well (instead of ten sit-ups per day increase it by five and do fifteen). Achievable goals will lead to positive visions of one’s self.
