Fat Burners on the hand have been designed specifically for body builders, who have been using them for quite some time now. Thermogenesis is basically the increase of body heat. 

Heat is a form of energy and increase in body heat requires that you expend energy more than normal.

For example, a previously used ingredient in nearly all themogenic fat burner was ephedra . 

Ephedra is a clinically proven thermogenic that results to fat burning and consequent lose of weigh hence the formally popular Ephedra Weight Loss. It does this by literally expanding your lungs and therefore allowing your body to take up more oxygen consequently encouraging fat burning. 

Many fatburners in trying to increase this thermogenic effect combined ephedra with other stimulants like caffeine. Unfornately the combination has proven to be dangerous, even fatal. A couple of deaths have been associated with this combination. Complaints resulted to the banning of ephedra in the U.S. The mater however still pends in court as a supplement manufacture challenges the F.D.A decision.

 

The Second Fat Burner Action

The second action path of a fatburner is increasing lipolysis directly. In this case ingredients are used that encourage the breakdown and release of body fat into the blood stream for use by the body for energy. 

Both pathways, thermogenesis and lipolysis are fairly effective and a number of fat burner to combine these two effects with dramatic results. With the banning of ephedra few of any fat burners have shown the same king of results as the now known risky E/C/A stack. E/C/A is the lethal ephedra, caffeine and asprin combination. 

It is worthwhile to note that fat burners have NOT usually had appetite suppressing as part of the deal. Keep in mind that they have mainly been used by body building athletes. These guys need to eat to maintain their masses. The fat burning is used to cut down on body fat percentage to a minimum to get that learn cut and vascularity you often see in those magazine poses. 

With the entry of fat burners for weight loss, appetite suppression is being included in these weight loss supplements. An example is a popular fatburner weight loss pill is Trimspa x32 whose label list Hoodia Gordini an anticipated "magical" appetite suppressant as one of its ingredients. 

With the banning of ephedra, supplement manufactures are trying to combine other ingredients to mimic the effect of the ECA stock. Some of the ingredients used include green tea weight loss, guaranga, cayenne pepper, hoodia weight loss among others. 

The question however still remains; can you use fat burners for weight loss? 

The answer would be yes, if you can find one that is both safe and effective.

However unlike what many expect, a fatburner wouldn’t work by itself. Even professional body builders that so depend on these kinds of supplements religiously, have to use them as adjuncts, supporting their dieting and exercise regiments. 

Just to bring it closer to home, lets say that a fatburner can actually increase your themogensis and result to an increase of 5% of your daily calorie expenditure this would translate for an average individual, to about 100 calories expenditure a day. 

Considering that one pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories, it would take 35 days to burn just one pound of fat using this particular fatburner. Not exactly what you expected having in mind that you can use diet and exercises to drop up to two pounds a week. And here is the bummer, 5% could easily be on the high side for many fat burners. 

But if you choose to use a fatburner, you need to use it in a particular way, and this is besides it being a compliment to a diet and exercise regiment. It involves "cycling" the product to avoid physiological adaptations, test for individual tolerance, check for drug interactions among others. 

Diet supplements like fat burners and others can assist in getting quick and effective weight loss when combined with a wholesome weight loss plan. But you have to choose a safe and equally effective supplement. Caralluma is such a supplement.
