Hampton Diet

Is hampton diet any different from Atkins

 


Hampton Diet is fairly different from Atkins weight loss diet. It is however difficult to believe it is not exactly a Low Carb DietIn fact the diet has been referred to as a 'better science' Atkins Diet. The weight loss diet is named after Hampton, a 40 mile ocean front stretch of Long Island in New York City. 

It is encompassed in the book 'Hampton Diet: Diet Secrets of the Rich, Famous and Thin'. The sub-title of the book reads "lose weight quickly and safely with the Doctors delicious meal plan". It is authored and developed by Dr Fred Pescatore, a former Atkins physician. 

Reference of the Hampton being a progression of the controversial Atkins may have some merit.  Unlike the wholesale recommendation of fats by the controversial diet,  Hampton is more about the right kind of foods, especially dietary fats. See  "Go Beyond Calories" (And Lose Belly Fat Permanetly)  to learn more.

Central to its "Right Fats" recommendations is macadamia nuts, specifically those from Australia or Africa, and not the ones from Hawaii.

Macadamia nut oil is a mono-unsaturated oil. 

It therefore increases good cholesterol and reduces bad blood cholesterol. 

Right carbs or whole carbohydrates are also principally featured in the Diet. 

He discourages processed foods whether carbs or proteins. Examples of foods you should avoid are white bread, bacon, dried sausage etc. 

An outrageous claim in this diet is that whole carbohydrates boost metabolism by 10%. How exactly this happens he doesn’t explain satisfactorily. 

Hampton's Diet has a weight loss phase quite similar to the restrictions you find in what is commonly referred to as the Mediterranean Diet

Its food plan is largely similar to the USDA food pyramid with some significant changes especially where it concerns fats.

 

Hampton's Diet Pill

Together with the Hampton Diet, Dr Fred Pescatore recommends a particular diet supplement, Lean Mystique. Many have tried to read in between the line about this supplement and the macadamia oil as trying to move these products in which he has interests.

However the other side of the story might be he is recommending what he knows best.

The use of weight loss supplements such as Lean Mystique is cited as one of the top reasons for weight loss failure. This is not necessarily a problem of the supplements, rather in how to use them effectively.

The guide groups such supplements as well as other weight loss pills, meal plans etc. as weight loss support structures. These are presented as pivotal in permanent weight loss.

Lean Mystique is a proprietary blend of rainforest fruits and herbs amongst other ingredients. It retails at from $69.95 to $39.95 a bottle. While the Hampton Diet book retails between $14 and $22. Both the book and the supplement are available at LeanMystique.com.

Hampton diet seems to try to do what Dr Agaston, of the South Beach Diet, has done; and that is to do away with the rough edges of popular weight loss diets.

As with most weight loss diets , Hampton has little to say concerning weight loss exercises which are necessary for healthy and sustainable weight loss. It does handle the food planning well and may be considered a slight improvement of some of its predecessor. The addition of a weight loss pill may make the diet have quicker results.

Though an improvement, Hampton diet still has its shortcoming. It seems to lack the comprehensiveness to target and attain permanent weight loss.

For you to attain permanent weight loss two fields of science should be addressed. These two disciplines are identified as follows;
    1. Physiology: This entails the already discussed aspect of controlled calorie intake and expenditure. Many diets including this one do tackle this fairly well, especially on matters of food.

    2. Psychology: This is probably the less tackled of the disciplines. The psychology for weight loss is an integral part of a comprehensive weight loss plan. Infact permanent weight loss is impossible without its inclusion in your program. This is an aspect poorly covered by the Hampton Diet if at all.

Likwe many other diets, Hampton Diet is about reducing calories. But when it comes to losing belly fat and getting a flat stomach or even a six pack, you will need to Go Beyond Calories.  you will need to do two things, just two things.. If you want to lose belly fat  These two are....
