Review of Tenuate Weight Loss

Lose 40 Lbs In 12 Wks

Tenuate weight loss is diethylropion hydrochloride, commonly referred to as diethylpropion

Generics:

Tenuate is available in different brand including Tenuate Dospan which is a sustained release, Tepanil Thin Tab and Tentab.

Preparation and Dosage of Tenuate Weight Loss:
Like most diet drugs, tenuate weight loss is a short term adjuct to a comprehensive weight loss program. Usually it is either in one dose per day or two smaller doses per day.

The drug is administered orally and should be swallowed whole. Do not crush, chew or break the drug unless under the directions of your doctor. Particularly breaking a sustained release tablet may result to the drug releasing more active ingredient faster than it should.

For the 3 times a day dose, adults take the 25 mg tablet one hour before each meal. The sustained on controlled release tab is usually 75mg and taken mid-morning. The drugs effects are not established for children under the ages of 12 years. The last dose should be taken 4-6 before bedtime to avoid insomnia.

Mechanism of Action:

Tenuate stimulates the hypothalamus gland in the brain. This affects certain neurotransmitters that result to decrease in appetite.

Caution:

Tenuate like similar diet drugs is habit forming so only use it for a short time to support weight loss. Some of its side effects include abdominal discomforts, abnormal skin redness, anxiety, high blood pressure, blurred vision, breast development in makes, changes in libido, difficulty in voluntary movements and dryness in mouth.

Others are tremor, shortness of breath, irregular heart beat, increased sweating, menstrual upset and muscle pains among others. Tenuate can increase convolutions in epileptic individuals, lead to extreme fatigue, insomnia and mental depression.

Once the effect of tenuate tapers off you need to withdraw from it progressively. Abrupt withdrawal can lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Even using a genuine and effective weight loss pills without a complementing, lifestyle changing weight loss program gives you only a small 5% chance of NOT regaining nearly all your weight back.

A weight loss pills is only successful when used in a comprehensive weight loss program. The book GHF Weight Loss (read a detailed review here) details characteristics of such a program.
