If this diet regime is followed for a month's duration, the dieter can lose weight up to 40 pounds in just 30 days. However, there is a fact that the weight lost within the 3 Day Diet is most likely to be the liquid weight and not the fat weight.

On the first day, for example, you must have a cup of black tea or black coffee, a slice of toast with two teaspoons of peanut butter, and half a grape fruit. While at dinner, you can eat two slices or about three ounces of any kind of lean meat; a cup of beets; a cup of string beans; a small apple and a regular sized cup of vanilla ice cream.

Then your lunch must be half a cup of tuna or cottage cheese, and five pieces of regular saltine crackers. At dinner, you can have two slices of beef, a cup of cabbage or broccoli, half a banana, a half cup of carrots, and half a cup of regular sized vanilla ice cream.
And in the last day, have with you in your breakfast five pieces of regular saltine crackers, an apple, and an ounce of cheddar cheese and your regular cup of black tea or black coffee. You can have boiled egg, a slice of toast and a cup of black tea or black coffee, for lunch. And you can have a cup of tuna, a cup of cauliflower, a cup of carrots, a cup of melon, and half a cup of regular vanilla ice cream as your dinner.
Along with the prescribed foods, the dieters that undergo the 3 Day Diet should drink more than 9 glasses of water or any other drinks that does not contain any calories. They do not make any substitutes for any kind of food in this diet. You must not add any seasonings and flavorings in your meals while you are on the diet; except for salt and pepper to add taste to your meals.
Aside for the advantages of this certain kind of diet, there are also some disadvantages. One is that the diet is very low in carbohydrates. Since carbohydrates are responsible for retaining water, the initial loss in weight is because of the great lost of carbohydrates from your diet.
The diet is also very monotonous. This is because the dieters tend to love their old eating habits even better, and thus get back to it once again. So, in most cases, the resolution of a certain dieter to lose weight is almost left at half. Also, if you are in to a regular and scheduled exercising, you will need to restrict your exercise and not to abuse it as much as possible. This is because your body will be very low on energy. And this may make you get off the track and may lead you into getting back to your usual routine.
The rapid weight loss
is not likely a permanent one and you are to more likely to regain the weight lost, soon. And not only that, this diet may get your body into a starvation mode. The diet plan advises a strict food regime. If you think this diet is not really for you because you feel very lighthearted or overly tired, you can drop it off. Have another option that will really fit your personality rather than having this kind of diet that will make you sick. It is best to take care of yourself.
