 Weight loss and fitness are two things that can work in concert to greatly improve your health. The more weight you lose the more fit you can become. And the more fit you become the more weight you can lose.

    Fitness, as a componet of weight loss exercises, is the body’s ability to perform physical activities without distress or injury. And as  Fat Loss 4 Idiots (lose 40 lbs with Calorie Shifting ) details, it can greatly aid your quest to lose weight. 

    As a heavy or big person, you will notice how nearly doing anything physical has become strenuous.       (v) Body composition
    Cardio-respiratory endurance - This is the ability of your body to utilize

    Keep in mind that fat burning, the body’s ability to use body fat as energy is mainly an aerobic process. This means your body requires oxygen for it to use body fat for energy.

    But the tiredness is a result of your muscle not having the ability to perform for along time. In other words your muscles are easily fatigued. 

    Low muscular endurance is what makes your unable to exert a physical action for any reasonable time. Remember for weight loss exercises to be effective they need to be performed for an extended period 45-90 minutes, as well as performed above moderate intensity. Poor muscle endurance will make this impossible. Probably weight loss strength training can help.

    Muscular strength - This is the ability of your muscle to exert force. The punch from a 7 year old boy will probably give you a bruised eye. But a punch from a 250 pound body builder will most likely give you a concussion. The difference is a result of muscular strength. 

    To some large extent, muscular strength is dependent on muscle size. Increased muscle size also results to increased Basal Metabolic Rate. Increased BMR means increased calories expenditure just by having lean tissue.

    Flexibility - This may not necessarily have direct implications on weight loss, but it does make it possible to do weight loss exercises effectively. It also cuts down on risks of injury and reduces muscle soreness. 

    As you age, muscles tighten and range of motion in a joint can be minimized. Increased fitness in flexibility puts back your normal range of motion reducing risk of injury to yourself.

    Body composition - Increased fitness tends to improve body composition. Obesity is a case of poor body composition where by the body fat is beyond the health percentage to the rest of the body component like bones, muscles, fluids etc. 

    An increased in fitness tends to improve body composition. Put another way increased fitness results to weight loss.
