Belly fats are fats
that build up in the abdominal area that
result in the increase of the size of a person’s waistline.
Belly fat, also
known as abdominal obesity, has two types; the visceral fat and the
subcutaneous
fat. The visceral fat is the fat that is accumulated in between the
internal
organ. The subcutaneous fat is located underneath the skin around the
belly
area.
The visceral fat is
also known as the pot belly or the beer
belly. The cause of beer belly is when the person habitually drinks
beer, which
results in excess calories in the belly, thus leading to the
accumulation of
fat in the abdomen. There are a lot of things that contribute to the
building
up of beer fats in the belly.
Social lifestyle is
one of the possible answers because some
are just too lazy to get their bodies moving even for a while. Some
people
prefer to sit comfortably on the couch, watch their favorite shows and
games on
TV, sit in front of the computer, and rest and do effortless activities.
Bad eating habits
are also included in the list of the
culprits causing beer belly. When you eat too much junk and unhealthy
food all
the time, you will obviously gain weight which can cause this fat.
Another cause of
beer belly is age. When you become old, you
become weak and less active, which prevents you from doing exercise
routines.
But even if you are old, you can still do short walks or light runs
just to
keep you sweating and having your metabolism increase.
The economic status
of a person is also a factor. This is
because they prefer to drive their luxury cars even if their
destination is
near instead of walking. When they get into the office, they sit down
immediately and spend the rest of their day just sitting and doing
paperwork.
Lastly, drinking
too many alcoholic drinks. Beer is not only
associated with the beer belly but also high blood pressure, diabetes,
liver
disease, stroke, heart failure, and certain cancers.
Not only that, when a person drinks too
much,
he has the possibility of becoming violent ad reckless, which then
leads to
injury, or worse, death.
The best way to
avoid having a beer belly and even lose it,
if you have it, is through changing the way you live your life. You
should
practice cardiovascular and aerobic exercise; these are best to keep
your heart
in an acceptable condition as well as help sweating. Swimming, running,
cycling,
and tennis are also some of the best things you can try out. If you
stick to any
of these activities 30 to 40 minutes a day, for three times a week, you
will notice
the best results after 10 weeks. Also, by cutting down alcohol intake
and
eating healthy foods, you are on the path of living a healthy life.
